Tehillah (תְּהִלָּה) is a Hebrew word that means “praise.” But this word has a connotation of being not just words you recite but a deep worship that comes from your heart. In Psalm 22:3, it says, “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” In that verse, the word for praises uses the word tehillah. God is enthroned in our praises – in those deep worship moments when our heart is completely His. The root of tehillah is halal, which means to boast or rave about someone. So these times of worship are when our souls must boast in the goodness of God and sing out His worship.
In our community, we wanted to offer times for intimate worship and prayer, not constrained by the time limits of Shabbat morning. We want to be a people who invest time in simply being in God’s presence, giving Him that place in time to work in us personally and corporately.
Our Tehillah nights are currently monthly on the first Tuesdays at 7pm.
No childcare provided.
